In 2026, our full-day Oahu circle island tour costs $59 per person for the Standard tour, or $49 per person for the Promo Full-Day Loop when you book with code FANTASY50. Groups of 10 to 29 can book a private charter for $110 to $145 per person. On top of the ticket, plan for lunch, any souvenirs and a tip for your guide.
That’s the short answer. Below is exactly what each price includes, what you’ll pay for on the day, and how to decide which option is right for your trip.
The three ways to book, at a glance
| Option | Price | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Promo Full-Day Loop | $49 per person with code FANTASY50 | Travelers on a budget who don’t plan to snorkel |
| Standard Full-Day Tour | $59 per person | Most first-time visitors, and anyone who wants to snorkel at Turtle Beach |
| Private charter | $110 to $145 per person, groups of 10 to 29 | Family reunions, wedding parties, company groups |
Both public tours run the full-day loop around the island in about 9.5 hours. The private charter starts from the same loop, and your group can change it.

The $10 difference between the Promo and Standard tours buys two things: a free malasada at Leonard’s Bakery, and free snorkel gear at Turtle Beach, where the tour spends 1 hour and 15 minutes. If you plan to get in the water, the Standard tour saves you renting a set and carrying it around all day.
See the island in one day. The Standard tour is $59 and covers nine stops in about 9.5 hours, with a free malasada and free snorkel gear. Pickup is from six points in Waikiki between 6:50 and 7:15 a.m. Check dates and book
Every stop your ticket covers
Price only means something next to what you get for it. These are the nine stops on the full-day loop:
- Diamond Head Lookout, 15 minutes. The classic view of the crater above the ocean. This is the lookout, not the summit hike.
- Halona Blowhole, 15 minutes. Waves force water up to 30 feet through a lava tube, with the cove known as Eternity Beach alongside.
- Leonard’s Bakery, 20 minutes. Warm Portuguese malasadas from the bakery that made them famous in Hawaii.
- Macadamia nut farm, 20 minutes. Tastings of roasted nuts and coconut coffee, and local gifts to take home.
- Mokoliʻi Island, 15 minutes. The cone-shaped islet off Kualoa, with the Koʻolau mountains behind it.
- Tanaka’s Kahuku Shrimp, the lunch stop. Garlic butter shrimp on the North Shore, with vegetarian options.
- Turtle Beach, 1 hour and 15 minutes. The longest stop of the day, for watching green sea turtles and swimming.
- North Shore fruit stands, 20 minutes. Pineapple, mango, coconut water and other farm fruit.
- Dole Plantation, 40 minutes. The pineapple gardens, the store and the Dole Whip everyone asks about.
The timed stops add up to 3 hours and 40 minutes, before lunch. For the full picture, see the complete route, stop by stop and how long a full-day tour really takes.
What costs extra on the day
The ticket covers the tour, the guide, the transportation, parking and the perks listed above. Guests usually pay for these themselves:
- Lunch. The lunch stop is Tanaka’s Kahuku Shrimp, where you order and pay for your own plate. There are vegetarian options. Our ranking of North Shore shrimp trucks explains what to order.
- Snacks and souvenirs. Fresh fruit at the fruit stands, bags of macadamia nuts and coffee at the farm, and gifts at the Dole Plantation store.
- Dole Whip on the public tours. It’s free on private charters. On the Promo and Standard tours, you buy your own during the 40-minute stop.
- Dole Plantation’s ticketed attractions. The train ride, maze and garden tour are sold separately. With 40 minutes there, most guests stick to the Dole Whip and the store.
- A tip for your guide. Tipping tour guides is customary in the US. Many travelers give 15 to 20 percent of the tour price. It’s always appreciated and never required.
A realistic all-in budget for one person on the Standard tour is the $59 ticket, a shrimp-truck lunch, a treat or two and a tip.
How the cost compares with renting a car
For solo travelers and couples, the cost of a rental car day, with gas, hotel parking and parking at stops, is often close to the tour, and the tour removes the driving. For a larger family, a rental can cost less per person, but someone spends the day behind the wheel. Our full comparison is in circle island tour or rental car: which costs you less.
Which option should you book?
Choose the Promo Full-Day Loop ($49) if you want the full island loop at the lowest price and you’re happy to watch the turtles from the sand rather than snorkel.
Choose the Standard Full-Day Tour ($59) if it’s your first time on Oahu, you want to get in the water at Turtle Beach, or you want the malasada included. It’s the option most of our guests choose.
Choose a private charter if your group has 10 or more people. You get your own air-conditioned minibus, a guide who works to your group’s pace, and the freedom to change the itinerary. Car seats are available on request. Our guide to private or group tours compares the two in detail.
